The county charges that Guy has used excessive corporal punishment with his teenage daughter and disrupted his children's education by moving them from program to program. The county also charged that Guy filed Persons in Need of Supervision (PINS) cases against two of his children as part of his demand that they "must unconditionally obey him because he is the "God's replacement on Earth' and "the manifestation of God on earth."'


According to the court filing, Guy and his wife, Alycia, were offered counseling services by the county to address the situation but refused the offer.

ALLEGED CHILD NEGLECT DISPUTED

Former Syracuse Common Councilor Frederick "Rick" Guy said Friday child neglect allegations against him are retaliation for his efforts to get authorities to investigate a relationship betweenhis 15-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old man.

“I was challenged by my staff in my last senior staff meeting to express my views in respect to what happened Jan. 6,” Guy said. “I gave a little broader perspective than what they were looking for.”


In his email, Guy criticized state and local election officials, the media, and a voting machine manufacturer, and repeated unfounded claims of a conspiracy to rig the Nov. 3 presidential election against Trump.

“Monopoly media outlets colluded and actively interfered in the 2020 U.S. presidential election by censoring any news and information that could adversely impact voter opinions of their selected candidate,” Guy wrote in the email, which he provided to syracuse.com.
